I do like that colour -
My missus is waiting to order a 24 MY as well, the sales person had outdated information when she had a test drive earlier this week. The dealer is still working from the December 2022 brochure as that's the current one on the Toyota UK website, plus when you configure a vehicle online via the website it doesn't match up with the latest March 2024 pricelist. Hopefully Toyota UK will update the brochure & website once 24 MY goes in to production.

The new Haynes autofix is not what I want and since they no longer do physical manuals anymore, are there any other manuals out there, especially for wiring? Thank you.

How to permanently disable LDA?
AndrueC replied to convcabbages's topic in Corolla & Corolla Cross Club
Part two of my experiment yesterday evening because I was travelling along a motorway. It was as unpleasant as I remembered. It can't hold steady in a lane. It's not enough that other drivers might notice but the wheel is constantly twitching under my fingers. Very disconcerting and if it's being transmitted down to the road wheels I worry about the impact on tyre life. On the way back it was raining and several times it gave up because it couldn't see the white lines on the M40. I never had any problems. I also noticed that on a couple of occasions on A roads with just LDA it helped me (unnecessarily) round right had bends. It seemed a bit too keen to keep me away from the kerb. To be honest that wasn't an unpleasant sensation. However when the road was clear I tested it on a couple of left hand bends and it only kicked in when I was practically over the white line. So a sort of nice idea but unreliable as well. And the occasional beep is nothing but a distraction. Being encouraged to look at the dashboard when you're at risk of unintended departure from your lane seems dangerous. It's simply not fit for purpose on my '19 Corolla and I'd class it as a dangerous feature. -
I had a small Fiat and fitted an armrest. Had to screw it into the floor, and it was brilliant. I recall an IQ Youtube video where someone fits an armrest. However... the armrest was not 'tall' enough and he fitted it onto a piece of wood first. At that point I gave up on the idea! ( Love an armrest but not seen it done well on an IQ sadly. )

Thank you everyone for your replies - guess I’ll just have to learn to live with it and probably end up ignoring all the bleeps and flashing! I agree though, think the dealership should have told me about the “improvements” - my last Aygo was a 2021 Exclusive which was pretty much like all the others I have had (7 now) so it probably would not have put me off buying it but would have been nice to know.

Problem with switsching from HV mode to EV mode in 2020 PHEV
ernieb replied to HSDish's topic in Rav 4 Club
I've noticed recently that the car will switch into HEV mode and maybe take 10 miles to switch back (motorway 60 + mph). This has happened twice recently when I've had traction battery capacity to stay in EV mode. I realise that sometimes the car will want to run in HEV mode etc. and may switch if it feels the car needs additional braking or it's being accelerated hard but none of these applies. I'd recently forced an HEV mode run after new fuel added and the trips I've done many times and run until the traction battery is exhausted in EV mode. Maybe things will change when the weather warms?? -
Yeap, you have installed a system as my previous one, it should work well, very reliable and stable indeed... Just one 12V feeding point is needed, +12V reverse lamp, so that camera and display are switch on when put the car in reverse only.

I would agree with most of that. To me there are too many cheapo crappy scratchy plastics in vulnerable areas (boot for example), ergonomics are a bit scattergun and on the pre 2022MY cars the infotainment is rubbish, like something from 20-30 years ago. However I do like having real buttons for things like heating, lights, volume control and so on. Like with anything, buying a car involves some degree of compromise.

The spoken warnings are from the Toyota system whether satnav in use or not and I find them useful and accurate. Even when using CarPlay Apple Maps nav these Toyota warnings still occur

Corolla (2019 onwards) spare wheel

2024 Excel has JBL as standard, are you sure you have a my24 and not just registered in 24? You may have a late registered my23. -
Tried look at threads and forums but couldn't find out the handle size or I guess what door the IQ Matches. I know it has prius wing mirror covers, maybe it's the same door? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Riloer-Protector-Compatible-2018-2022-Hatchback/dp/B0CSSMN1CS/ I was looking at things like this as I want some black covers but can't seem to find anything as I don't know the door type. Anyone found any?
-
Would like one of these but scared to drill into my car. Tempted to put a shoe box in the gap lol
-
I believe that pivot bush is something similar to below. Likely a push fit from above with inaccessible one way clips below. In previous wing mirrors, the three hinge screws were accessible from below. Now they have sandwiched them from above to prevent easy repairs.

Thanks still near impossible to find the parts ha. Do you know 4 those pods near the 2 front wheel arches and back of car, I've seen some have them black. I wonder if thats a part, or they had them wrapped. Today I added some wind deflectors were tricky to get the clips in but think I did it
