OK so I fully expect a love em, hate em response, so here goes.....

Fitted some new rear lights today as I really don't like the PFL rear clusters. I had them shipped in from Australia and they are almost a direct replacement for the standard ones. The only issue I have had (apart from blowing both dual function bulbs :P ) was that the indicator bulbs in the UK come with guide/lock pins set at 180 degrees and the mount for them in this cluster is set at approximately 140 degrees. I spent a long time in Halfords going through all of the bulbs they had but couldn't find a match, so I came home and attacked the bulb socket with a metal jigsaw blade (by hand I might add as it would tear everything to pieces if it was attached to a jigsaw!). Having suitably extended the locking channel, they fit perfectly and are now nice and secure.

Bring on the pics....

Middle left - Reverse light
Middle Right - Indicator just sparking up
Bottom - Main running light

This is the main running light with the brake activated too (much brighter)

Let the arguments begin!

Absolutely love them mate. They are on supra25's compressor and I think they look amazing on the darker-coloured CTS'.

Really suite the car, nice one.

Black CTS = win.

Snake eyes on the right colour dont look amiss unlike lexus jobs.

not sure why they look 'drunk' but the slant is quite aggressive. good work.

I like them

Not like a gold Clio I saw in Hull recently though, he sprayed his gold to match the car and you could barely see the lights behind, I'm surprised plod hadn't pulled him

They've been discussed on here before... They look similar to FL lights that have fallen over, hence 'drunk'

that's either a fog light on either side OR the fog lights rewired onto the position light circuit. (cant imagine the later would be too legal leaving no fog at all) either way, other have it done :P

well you say others have it done but how long, well as iam sure your aware the rolla only has 1 fog light, so was abit of work in it, and iavnt seen another 1 with it done, and the fog light isnt tested in our nct so no worries there, plus how often do you need a fog light, about twice a year
