V Power

All of the Shell garages around Doncaster have slowly been running out of V Power and now none have it! i asked at my usual garage today when they are getting some and he said it will be a couple of weeks as they are having a problem with it! Dont know what tho. My nearest tesco have ran out of 99 too, but that is a common thing.
My car seems to feel like it has more torque with Tesco 99 but lift feels stronger with V power, probably all in my head tho

Honestly I can't tell the difference in mine? I've chucked about 4 tanks of Tesco 99 through it, and this week gone for Tesco 95 and it really seems exactly the same to me :/. Maybe will make a difference once its serviced etc. maybe its running a bit poorly at the moment?

Try V power as that has additives that clean your engine, use a few tanks of it and then you should start to notice a difference with both tesco 99 and v power! Yeah a service would also help aswell! You also notice the difference more when you have used it for a while then you put a tank of 95 ron in ,or at least i have as this is the first time i have filled up with 95 in about a year and it doesnt feel anywhere near as responsive
I also achieve better mpg with super unleaded over 95 ron, by about 2-3mpg

as far as the t-sport goes 99 ron does make a difference. you prob wont notice if the engine is in need of an oil change as that can really kick the teeth in on the performance side of things.
an ecu reset also helps matters a little if you dont drive the car harda lot of the time and then make the switch as it takes a fair few hundred miles to twigg and reset the fueling map (which is apparently learning?!) ive never run anything but tescos 99 unless ive been caught short in which case the car just starts to feel sluggis on 95/96/97 ron. could well be a placebo but its a placebo i like lol.
as for its benefits on your car jonno, not so sure, it might feel a touch more perky like a tsport does. but as with te 1.8 any real bhp gains will be minimal.
as for supply of fuel, my local tescos has struggled on the 99 side of things with half its pumps being empty. seems to be back up to full supply at the moment. but at 120.9 a litre im not supprised.

i was doubtful to start with.. but read a compelling independent study on different fuels and tesco 99 cam out on top so i gave it a go and noticed a instant diference. low end torque was improved and going head to head with mates car which was v close when i was on 95 i now significantly pulled away from him esp when hitting lift.
if im running on fumes it costs me about £50 to brim the tank that last around 280 - 300 miles. Thats a mix of short jorneys town driving and spritly drives.
i use 99 all the time now.

In terms of mileage i don't really see a massive difference between regular and high octane fuels...
Nor do i get a difference in 1/4 mile times...
The only thing i wll note is that supermarket 95ron is awful... car seems to be a lot more sluggish than when using Shell's 95ron..

I thought the Tesco stuff was only 95 and 97 anyway, but just found out that I don't get the 99 in my area.
Anyone else not getting it, check on this link http://www.greenergy...ere_to_buy.html
Tried the ecu reset and used the higher octane Tesco stuff (97) for the last three fill ups now and also given it some welly and have to say there is a noticable difference in pick up with the car pitty I can't get Tescos good stuff.
As far as mileage goes no difference what so ever.
