well seeing as the comp is sat on the drive in bits awaiting new cam and valve rockers looking really depressed, I think its time I whipped the headlight clusters out and done something with the horrid excess silver surround. but 1st coffee I'll post pictures as I go if I manage it without breaking anything. (I've got some new ones lined up if it goes wrong lol)

the valve rocker just failed under pressure engaging lift lobes cursing.gif, i thank my lucky stars no bits made there way in through into the head, yahoo.gif

this part requires the oven to be on, and if like me supervised by a adult as the ovens hot and i burnt myself before even putting the light in....lol censored.gif

id assume he left some glue on the inside where it was,then put them back into the oven for 30 more mins

the sealant they used never really softened up as much as I had expected. used black high temp sealant to reseal which I've clamped and will apply more sealant to make sure when this cures.... wahooo

i put a extra bead of marine sillicone round the very edge between the lens plastic and the black housing..... im 99.3% sure ive sealed it "proper job" style heres the finished look..... unfortunatly :censor: as my car dont start atm and the suns refelecting off the front its hard to get both lights into the same photo :ffs:. i shall take some more when the sun buggers off and i can stick the lights on.. thanks for watching guys :thumbsup:SAM_0243-1.jpgSAM_0250-1.jpgSAM_0249-1.jpgSAM_0246.jpgSAM_0245-1.jpgSAM_0244.jpg

as you can see 1 cup of coffee didnt do the trick and i left the under tray hanging off - FAIL -
