Hi guys

Ive had my Aygo for a few weeks now and have decided to replace the Wiper Blades and have ordered some flat blades.

When i went outside to look at my current ones i tried to lift the wiper off the screen but it only came up a few inches it was like it was locked or somthing can anyone help please.

Due to the double arm the front wiper can only be lifted about 4", this is normal and plenty of speace to swap a blade...

The arm cannot be lifted.

The old wiper needs to be pushed sideways across the car towards the drivers side.

A smart tap on the end with the flat of your hand will do it.

If you have an original "Valeo" wiper fitted, there is a small tab you need to

lift up to release the wiper blade from the arm.

If you look where it is held by the curved end of the arm, you will see

a little spike, about 8mm long by about 2mm thick.

Lift the spike upwards slightly to release it, then push the blade towards the drivers side of the car.

I'd take a picture but both our AYGOs have new blades.

Hope this helps.

Ian.

Edit: Just thought, you might have to push down slightly on the spike, can't remember.

Found this picture which shows roughly what I mean about the spike.

(Halfway up the picture, left-hand side). 2 spikes.

Just to clarify- There's a locking tab on the original Aygo wiper blade. Pinch the 2mm wide tab towards the metal wiper arm (away from the windscreen) and then the blade can be released from the hook.
