Hello all... laugh.gif

anybody there know what LC modells have the cambelt and which ones have the chain

I was informed that the 54 reg LC5 I was looking at was belt driven... I thought that all the new LCs were chain driven.... unsure.gif

hi rob
all these diesel land cruisers are belt driven and im sure the V6 petrol engines are aswell.
they are very easy to change

If the jobs so easy howcome Mr T charge 255 incl VAT...
I always thought that cambelts are a @@%"# to replace and thats why they usually are expensive...

If you look under bonnet cambelt is under black plastic cover at front of engine held in place by 3 bolts.
because engine is forward facing its easy. ( less than 1 hr.) any good independent garage would be able
to do same job as mr. t for less than half price. mines 57 & i dont think belt needs changing till 90000 miles
or 5 years

I did get in touch with Kingo... our forum Parts king and asked about the cambelt and he did advise that all but the V8 are on belts.. and that there's nothing to changing them...

Anyone know the process of how to do it?
