What Car august issue have tested the new Prius against the BMW 116d , Volvo S40 1.6 DRIVe and Honda Insight , Prius came 1st !! The Honda got a major slating and came 4th , they said its engine and ride were awful , Volvo came second , they said its a good car but has limited interior space and BMW came third.
They said the Prius has smooth drivetrain,comfortable ride,practical cabin,lots of equipment,lowest emissions and great resale values as well as legendary build quality and reliability.
Downsides were cost to buy,drap interior plastics,restricted rear view,anaesthetised steering and suspension can thump over low speed bumps.

All in all I think we have made the right choice in buying one,just hope it arrives soon

Also very glad we didn't go for the Insight !

Surprising for Honda , normally their technology is amongst the most advanced , they seem to have really got it all wrong this time
