Hi,

While i'm on a roll i may as well ask about a slighty rusting sump. I has a very small seepage from it. It doesn't drip onto the drive, but you can see corrosion. Is it really worth getting it done. 97 Carina e 185,000 on the clock. I've been quoted 300+. I'm just worried that it isn't worth it.
In the last year and a half, i've had a new radiator plus pipes, power steering belt, altinator belt and timing belt changed plus a new steering rack.

opinion greatly appreciated.

WHAT!!!!!! £300 FOR A SUMP!!!!! I got one for £55+ VAT. It only took me an hour to change and i'm not that experienced.

Try another garage.
