I'm quite interested in buying a mr2 as my second car, and I've seen one for sale, it's a 1987 TOYOTA MR2 AW11. I was just wondering if anyone had any hints or tips to what I should be paying a lot of attention to if I go and inspect the car / take it for a test drive. Are there any common problems with this model mr2, and is there anything I should be extra cautious of?

Rust was the main killer of the Mk1. Also if it is a T-Bar model it is likely that it will leak in windy rain so this could sway the purchase.

Other than that just check normal things you would look at when buying a car.
