Hi all

I am looking for some help with my Rav, I had to change the fuse last night on my radio/cigarette lighter as it fused. I changed it back to the original amp 7.5. However I have then went back in and tried to start the car and now it says that my airbags, power steering and ABS have stopped working. I am now left wthout the car being able to move.

Does anyone know if there is another fuse that is a common problem? If not then it will need to get picked up and sent to Mr T's as I can't drive it.

Thanks

Trace it back systematically with a DVM if you can.

The pdf in this post might help (PS.pdf).

Thanks for the feeedback I have tried the obvious fuses but I really can't work out why the Power steering, ABS and Airbags all went at once, I will need to have another search through the books to see if I can get the one fuse that deals with all of them.....

Why is nothing simple!!

Cheers

Look at the fuse you replaced and double check it is fitted properly. It is very easy to get it wrong.

Thanks everyone

Looks like it might be something else I think, can't find any fuses that are not making contact, it has to be somehting simple but I can't find any that look blown.

Need to call out the breakdown I think tonight and see what they say, looks like it will have to get picked up and taken to Toyota.

Why is it when you just give in you find the problem!!!

It was some sort of gaugue fuse, god knows why that went when I changed the Radio fuse, must have been a spark like Anchorman said.

Thank goodness it is fixed!
