Hi all after my last post about the engine light does any one live in the Halesowen area with a code reader I have seen some on Ebay for £40 but dont know if they are any good my local garage have quoted the same to read the codes for me. I have had a little look around and have wd40 the lambdor sensor plugs when unpluged I have found that they all meter out about the same but the heater has an open circuit in the top lambdor on the near side would this have lit the light? I think the lambdor it self is ok as I took it for a 10 mile drive and the mpg still reads the same. I have read on here that they are hard to get out but at least this one looks the easy one to get at, is it worth having the codes read or should I just change the sensor? I dont want to waste money
Thanks in advance.

The code readers are coming down in price and should give you a basic 2 digit code. You can always keep it as all future cars you own will be compatible.

Speaking from past experience bash.gif I would change the sensor with the open circuit-the part number will be on the side of the sensor. For future reference I have a code reader for anyone living in the Tyne & Wear area. smile.gif
