i recently heard about the new Auris 1.6 6-speed optiDrive 132 BHP (brake horse power)

i have the old Auris with 124 BHP and 5 speed gearbox

i was wandering if it's not possible to upgrade my auris to 132 BHP. I know that 8 BHP is not much but if it is an simple tuneup i would do it.
Maybe it's only an soft upgrade.

New Toyota engine is Valvematic so there is slight difference in the valves management compared to VVT-i. You can chip your engine and the power gain is going to be about 7-9 bhp.

It would not be the same remap as the new Auris is a 6 speed gear box... 'As far as I'm aware, but tuning boxs etc would give you the same gains, just not the same economics!'

Top end of the engine is very different to house the Valvematic system so not possible to retrofit from VVTi to Valvematic
