I am a first time poster, so hope this works! I have a new 2004 Tundra that seems to have marginal, if any, skid plates. What would you all recommend be added to protect critical underside parts? This truck will be taken on some pretty rough rocky terrain. I was told to go to a welding shop and have a 16" plate put on...Bear in mind my mechical knowledge is limited. Why did Toyota skimp in this area on the Tundra? My 1995 SR5 has adequate protection underneath! Thanks for any advice.
