A great day was had by all at Japfest, the next big day out at Castle Combe is Trax on the 7th September at Silverstone. Entrance will be £8.50 per person for straight entrance although maybe a little more if we want to book a club session to play on the Grand Prix Circuit with only Toyota and Lexus Club Members on Track, I will find out the exact costsings during the week, if there is enough interest maybe Steve can look at booking this depending on interest....
Silverstone is a great track and of course it isn't about whose the quickest around track but who gets off track with the largest smile on their face
Trax isn't limited to Jap Car's but to everyone and anyone so will be a massive event, it would be great for TOC & LOC to attend...
Time on track is available is available for anyone during the day but you'll have 40 cars out at a time, a pure club session would be a lot safer....
Further info for Trax can be seen at "http://www.traxshows.co.uk/"
Opinions people please....

They used the touring car circuit not the full GP circuit last time i was there, think about it.... they would only be able to let you do 2 laps as it would take so long to get round

whats the point....if you got a fully preped touring car there its just begging to be driven

and driven hard

it belongs to Tarquinie i think he said....bet i havent spelt that right

I've PM'ed Steve to see hwat he wants to do on this one, I don't want to step on anyone's shoes by trying to arraange something I shouldn't....
Could be another exmaple of the Karting event, everyone saying how interested they are but as soon as something get's posted all interest dissapears, the Lexus bod's already have 14 definates and I think we are stuck on 4 or 5.....

OK I have now spoken with TRAX and to get a Club only track session would be £750 with 50 Cars on track at a time so would mean each person would have to pay the following....
50 Cars = £15
40 Cars = £18.75
30 Cars = £25
20 Cars = £37.50
10 Cars = £75
If we have enough interest I could probably push the interest up by speaking with friends in some other Toyota Forum's so we would have enough the get 40 Cars out there, with the size of the track this shouldn't be too much of an issue....
For general admittance it is £8.50 in advance, it is very easy to book a stand so if we have enough interest we can do this striaght away, as with Japfest we would need people's money in advance...
Could people please let me know as soon as possible whether they are interested and whether they would be interested in in a little pootle around Silverstone
I will pin this post and update it with people who are definately interested....

Oops it's Silverstone....
Remember it's the Grand Prix Circuit so it's massive, you could have 50 of us out there and not notice it
Will add you to the list as the list is purely for stand, if people want track let me know....

Not to sure about track time as v ery little interest.
Interest in this event is minimal so not sure we will be attending as a club. I guess those of us who want to go could arrange to meet as and convoy so we could park together...

Just recieved the TRAX gumpf through the post....
Nice glossy intro and the following letter......
"The Ultimate car club track event is back on Sunday 7th September at the home of British motorsport – Silverstone Circuit. Following a record attendance of over 17,000 people last year, TRAX 2003 is set to be the biggest and best yet.
We’re writing to ask you to put a date in your club’s event schedule and to reserve your place as part of the UK’s foremost outdoor performance and modified car event.
With the huge trade area, massive owners’ club displays, all day track action, 0-60 sprint test and much more, your members are always guaranteed a great day out at TRAX. And this year we’re giving you even more of what you want, with track time on the full Grand Prix circuit and a second 0-60 sprint test.
The club entry is just £8.50 per person – a massive 50% saving on the gate price. This includes a vehicle pass enabling your members to show off their cars to thousands of like-minded enthusiasts. What better way is there to promote your club and gain new members ? And if you haven’t already thought about it, why not hold your club’s national day at TARX? There’s more than enough space and you couldn’t get a better venue!
Full booking information is enclosed, but should you have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The TRAX Team"
Looks like a monster of a day

I'd like to attend but as always can't confirm this far in advance due to work!
Can't we combine the track time with LOC?
I'd love to drive the track but I don't want any stone chips or a cracked windscreen!

Must have missed this thread earlier.
I'm up for up for it if there is a TOC/LOC gathering.......
I like the idea of a 0-60 test. Don't think I can RUN that fast though.

I think we've missed the signup for a club stand so would now have to go as a group and hope to get parking next to each other, I will probably pop in as it is just around the corner....

Here's me only just finding this on TOC [img]http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/images/smilies/slap.gif[/img]
I was planing and hoping to go with a MR2 club but it's also all fallen through
Last we heard was that it wasn't too late to sort a club stand???
Is this actually going to happen as a TOC/LOC thing or do we make our own way there?

Is it still on??? The thought of driving around silverstone circuit rocks, it sounds amazing. Is there still any interest in going full stop?
Is it sept 2004? or am i being daft and think it was 2003?
If its 2004 we need to spread the word in the individual forums!!!
