Hi Guys,

I'm having a bit of trouble with my truck. It's a 1993 mark 3 diesel and I've just fitted a 2lt diesel from the mark four (or so I thought) but it turns out it's an import engine.

It runs fine and everything but the problem is that the injector pump and vacuum pipes that go to the injector pump are different to a UK spec mark4. What I'm getting at is that when the turbo comes on song and the pump should put extra fuel in, it doesn't because we can't connect up the vacuum pipes.

It's a funny set up, not completely manual but not efi either.

What I'm wondering is can I fit an injector pump from a U.K. Mark 4 and will it work properly?

I'm running out of ideas now and no-one seems to know what will work! :help:

Sounds like You should consider some pro help from local motor specialist?

PM me with the details of the engine and what it's out of. I'll have a look to see if I have a vacuum piping diagram. I can't guarantee it though, because it will be US spec probably.

Worth a try though!
