Hi, I have had a Rav4 now for the last 8 months and I can honestly say it is th ebest car I have ever driven, unfortunatly the remote failed to disarm the alarm so I had to disconnect the siren frome under the bonet to stop it sounding every time I got in the car. I have replaced the battery in the key fob but this still fails to deactivate or activate the alarm, can anyone help me please.

Welcome to the forum :)

If the battery in the key fob died, it probably needs reprogramming to connect to the alarm again. Take a look at the thred below, I think it may help.

What can I say, followed the instructions and now the alarm is working again, my local Toyota garage quoted me £80.00 to reprogramme the alarm, many many thanks for your help and information.
