The bumper without the number plate isn't as deep.
Which might mean that it is possible to trim it down, to fit
Not seen Bothy on this week, Has Nettie scared him away?

It would look a codge up Stewart because the end lips over the bumper and the inner edge has mouldings that would obviously look sawn off.

Thoght I'd put a picture of my better half's Rav4 up, especially as it now has side steps - courtesy of Kingo  In fact, I have probably driven Kingo bonkers with all the queries, PMs and so on, especially when I couldn't get them to fit (due to me not properly RTFM) :bookworm: so I post this picture in honour him with my grateful thanks - and that of the wife, who thinks her Rav looks great :yahoo:

Robert, your wifes Rav is a belter.

Hoovie, I think Anchormans Rav is same colour, as is Nightstalkers, verrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice  (vermillion red?)
Hoovie
Is it? I thought AMs was like a standard kinda bright red and Mrs Roberts is a sort of Burgundy - hard to tell with photos and light levels. the 4.2 above looks a really deep rich burgandy kind of colour.

I'll have to look in the gallery again.
Robert6920
Thanks guys, she really loves it and I love messing with it. Slightly embarassing about the length of time it took me to sort out how the steps went on, but not to mention that any more.... :o

Again, using the mass of knowledge of the people on this forum, I have deduced that the colour is "3Q3" which decodes as "Dark Red Mica Metallic". I've not seen another one here and, yes, Hoovie, it's a 1.8l 2WD

Isn't it typical, drove to the post office and saw another 2005 Rav4.2 in exactly the same colour as better half's for sale on a Nis*an dealer's forecourt!!

You should have asked!!!

BTW mine is 3R3 Vermillion Red or Red Mica Metallic - stood side by side it would look rather lighter;

Sorry, Anchorman - personally, I like Mrs Roberts colour more B) -

and I do like those Alloys on MarcoMarcos's 4.2 - very nice

I would call mine "Silver with a hint of green". It is officially Cadmium Green, but on the V5 it just says Green - odd
anchorman
Yes I agree that Roberts OHs colour does look nice. When I went to buy a 4.2 Granite before I got mine (long story) it was the same colour but had a silver lower body. Normally I like the two tone but that single tone claret looks superb.

To be honest I aint passed this one by her "YET"... dont have Cohones big enough to ask... However she is only 5 foot 3 so the side steps would come in handy for her...

Will wait a bit and keep me eye on ebay....

That really does look nice. Black with the tint goes really well.

Those are rather business like looking tyres as well. Are they noisy on the highway?

Cheers

I think the tinted window regulations are a little more relaxed in Serbia, than they are in the UK :( But they really do suit your fine looking car :yahoo:

Thanks for the photo's Blackpzs

@ Fujisan

You are right! We must have regular athest if the windows are tinted, and its alowed only 35%, but in the near future new traffic law will not alow front windows tintig.

No I meant you should have the spaces where the 3 door and the Astra is. Better still a sign on a post in front of each space with BT1 and BT2!

Thinking about getting the flared arches, not sure whether to keep them silver, or black out them & the bumpers?

I think the balance is about right at the moment. So if you go for the flared arches, consider blacking them out and leaving the rest alone.
Hoovie
I do like the Black RAV4s. When I was looking for mine, I saw a very nice looking 55 XT-R Diesel in black for about £500 more then my 05 XT3 VVTi but decided too far to go to look in the flesh (Devon to Norwich)

The arches go down over the bumpers don't they? Which might look a bit odd!

I've seen them in silver on the Blue Rav's, but Like Hoovie I d like the black Rav's.

But the cost of the conversion may put me off. Toyota quoted me £980 to do it, but I do think I can get it done for £600 elsewhere!

Silver arches would cost me £300 to fit

That was with compatible arches. Official Toyota arches are supposed to be £200 per arch. I don't think that includes fitting

Took a look at your Gallery. Great Rav Like the colour, steps and arches.

I think i'll go a styling shop and look at what I can do, to make mine look different. I won't get the work done there, but they could give me some ideas.

I don't want to go overboard, but do want to make some subtle changes.
