AFter a year of owning my 2002 2.0 Rav4 D4D VX the turbo has packed in at just 65 000 miles,any one know how much money your lookin to buy a new one. Cheers!!

yeh mega bucks, £1300.00 + and you have to get it from Mr T unless you can pick up a secondhand one from the scrapyard. I was lucky and found one on ebay for 300.00. but of course you don't get the full warranty like a new one. bit of a bitch to fit. my car is also a 2002 VX diesel but with 77000 miles!! It cured my problem until recently, I've now got a fuel problem.....injector pump sv valve me thinks

Had the High Pressure Fuel Pump go on my VX D4D go last year.... right dog to drive and no power with foot to floor just gradually gained speed
.....Managed to get a re-furb on the existing HP Pump for £600 (independent garage) but compared to the £1200 Mt T wanted for a new one.... 
Been fine ever since....

Hey chatman sounds just like the problem, as you say a dog to drive, foot to floor, totally gutless, gradually picking up, forget trying to overtake stuff, have to stay in the lorry lane!! 600.00 is alot cheaper than 1200.00. there's bound to be a place in cardiff who'll do it.
