My friend is having a problem with her computer. She thinks she might have deleted something but has no Recycle Bin on her desktop! Where could I find the Recycle Bin?

May not be this simple, but... has she got her computer set so that it doesn't show desktop icons?
Right click on the desktop... arrange icons by... then put a checkmark in "show desktop icons"
