Guys

I need some advice from someone who has hopefully gone through this too...

I have fitted countless towbars over the years, and am about to fit one to my wifes Rav (MY2004 Xt3 5 Door).

I am torn between doing the wiring as per a normal towbar install and buying one of the vehicle specific kits.

I have read that the RAV has some lightweight wiring to the rear clusters (I have not disected the car yet so do not have first hand confirmation of this) and that you cannot simply scotchlock in as usual.

Is this the case?

I did see one link from the forum to a commercial site that did say you can - yet others sell a whole kit for £50 or so.

I have no wish to have the factory dash light work, as a rear mounted buzzer is fine by me!

So - anyone done a traditional wiring install?

Thanks for your help and advice.
