Hi. First time posting here. I wonder if it's possible to disable the auto-cancelling of the indicators on the 2nd generation RAV4? It's not a problem with the specific car, it's just something that I don't like about driving. I don't like having to repeatedly put the indicator back on when going left at a roundabout, and the auto-cancel is (for me) a useless feature at junctions because I always check the indicator's off anyway, so it wouldn't be any extra effort to just flick it off myself. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thats a new one Andrew, we usually get people asking how to fix it!
If you have an air bag, disconnect the battery and wait half an hour to prevent the risk of getting an unwanted smack in the mouth. Remove the screws from the bottom of the cowl and remove the two halves. Press the plastic clips that engage the switch onto the mounting bracket and slide it out releasing the wiring plugs as it comes (unclip them).
The lug that cancells the indicators is visible on the inside face of the switch assembly. You'll have to find some way of cutting or filing it off. Do not be tempted to disably the part on the column as the switch engages the spiral cable and that will be expensive to replace.
Good luck.
