I did not realise the standing that Kingo has with Royal Mail. He'd sent me wiper blades and arms just at the end of the week - 2 days ago.
Guess what??
Royal Mail delivered them to me today at 11.30am!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Sunday! They don't even collect mail on a Sunday now!

I'm impressed.

And cos its nice and sunny here, I'll be able to get them fitted today :) :) :)
PinkMinkee

Nah, sorry Bothy, RM delivering on a Sunday? I don't buy that! :D

I think you've been going through the light barrier in that beast again, resulting in local time reversal. So, in fact, they delivered it Tomorrow  Or did they deliver it before you ordered it? :g:

Of course, also, you read this, before I posted it. :D

It's impressive all the same

Must be one of these days when everything fits the gether. Swapped the wiper arms and blades over and also discovered where the wee plastic part came from that I found in the house - its a wee shroud for the wiper arm nut!
Tempted fate and won again - found where my coolant water leak is - an old quick release hose clip on the heater in the engine compartment side... now jist need to lose 5 stone to reach over the engine....or safer getting the garage to swap it case I crush the turbo cooler!!

The parcel wisnae even Special delivery - just recorded delivery!! If it'd been SD then I might have roused at 2 am to sign for it - which would have been fine cos we wis still up.

Absolutely marvellous  I'd take it easy for the rest of the day - that could be all of your portion of the luck virus used up for today. Either that or go and back a horse or something. :D.

Parts would have been quicker still if they came by train.

I'm surprised you haven't concocted some kind of jig to turn it on its side to work on the back of the engine. I take it you went off the lose 5st idea when the smell of soup and steak locked on to you?

Aye, here we go - a Sunday an the mans late aff the shift cos the lines aw oer the country are affected by a shortage of engineers....mind ye, ah bet the oertime is braw!! Stuck ahent a crane fur 3 weeks oan a rugby railway line!

Ah think ye misunnerstood. The parts were posted on 4/1/08 and arrived 6/1/08.
The soup n steak wis made by masel aifter fittin the arms. The steak was mature Scottish - a bit like masel.
The hose clip is a minor problem which may point to a perished rubber hose an so will need checked oot by a hose expert. Hoses for courses I believe they say in some country??

An ah've looked at wan o thae things whit rotate yer car aroon horizontally; but ah kin dae that masel aifter a bottle o whisky.

An while ahm oan here, ah thocht the auld delta train wis done awa wi. Thankfully no fur the puir sole whit crashed thro a lorry fu o tatties - the engine wis aw mashed up an the tatties werenae ony better! Chips everywhere.

Well I ran on time today.

No I didn't misunderstand, if you posted them on the 4th and the post came by rail then you would have got them later on the 4th (probably about 23.35 knowing your posty). (notice I didn't say the 4th of what).

I don't think it will have been a deltic, they use old class 37s up there in the northern wastelands of the arctic - these curious looking things;

PS did you manage to salvage any tatties?
