Quite a major development in the HD-DVD vs Bluray saga.

i actually despise the whole industry.... effectively they make everything people buy at overinflated prices obsolete on a regular basis. I remember when cd's came out and the whole bunch of lieing tossers went on about how it would make things cheaper. Then they charged more for their products, which incidentally aren't worth the money they charge in the first place.

I don't know about them promissing cheaper prices but I think the innovations of CD quality music and then DVD quality films have been great!
Can't wait to get a HD TV I think the benefits are worth it.

Dont get me wrong please. Yes cds and dvds and hd and blu ray, and whatever crock they come out with next are/will be good for what they are. Its the system, the greedy, fat, narcissistic end of the up turned wine glass that cheeses me right off.
45 quid for a blu ray movie that will be watched say ummm twice, which will be worth 24 in 3 months, then 15 in 6 etc then finally will be worth nothing in 2 years is extortion. Plus the blurbs on the backs of most films are complete lies(best film of 2008 etc when its only january etc rofl).
These people running these businesses behave somewhat like they have the ethics of drug dealers. You cant even legally rip a cd to your pc to put it on your mp3 player. Yes, thats right, in the uk this is ILLEGAL. NO, it doesnt matter that you legally purchased it, NO it doesnt matter that its for your own personal consumption, its ILLEGAL. Even if you ask them... they will say NO you don't have our permission to do that. Basically to get you to buy at least 2 copies of the same crap. they say they care about the artists work, but where does most of the money go? Certainly not to the artist lol
If you ask me what a crime is, I'd say its selling something that's worth peanuts for far more than its worth(fraud), and then telling consumers if they want to listen to it on their mp3 player, mp3 car stereo, in their friends company etc that theyre criminals. Screw those Ho's
Ups on my soapbox lol
