I would not have thought so......the noise is blatantly obvious
from cold [especially first thing in the morning]
I can rev it on drive...the noise in question is not there, it is only when gear selected and moving off, I could actually play a tune by accelerating then taking my foot off and so on.
When it is hot it is not nearly as noticeable.
From a common sense point of view to me, it has either got to be something to do with the auto or it's something as was suggested on another site as being to do with the air intake somehow. [eg the rubber skirt around the inter cooler not seating] but why then does it basically disappear when hot.

and why does this not show when the engine is revved on the drive before engaging gear.
