i have joined this site on behalf of a friend of mine who has recently bought a landcruiser 3, he knew that the power steering pump wasn't working when he bought it, but thought it would be relatively straight forward to get a working one. unfortunately this hasn't been the case. so we were wondering if any members here could help him out.
he has got a land cruiser 3
1992 import
7 seater
model - L J77-RV_MNX
engine 2L-T (2.4 turbo diesel)
any help would be gratefully received

You could try getting a used one off another Toyota with the same engine, like a Hilux/Hiace
If the 2L was sold in the UK ,there should also be rebuild kits for the old one at the dealer.
Have you tried a PS specialist?

I have one for sale off my 2.4 Surf.
30 quid plus post.
It's not needed now as I fitted a Lexus V8 which has it's own P/S pump.
