Hi All!!!!

Hope you are all ok and recovered from the snow!! (theres more to come apparently next week!!!)

Anyway, the reason I am here is my 5th Gear - again!!! You may recall my last posting about it, it keeps popping out. Well the garage have been less that c*ap!! they claimed to have ordered the parts but I just don't believe them so I have a very nice very mechanically minded friend of my dads who is willing to fix it for me if I get the parts. What I want to know is, exactly what parts I need, and UK prices and where to order them from.

Also, while I am at it, I am thinking of having my Timing Belt changed, it was last done at 60K and I am now at 100K, so I think it would be wise, again, what parts / kit do I need, how much and where from?

All help and advice appreciated!!

PS Its a 96/97 N Reg, hope this pic come through too!!!

You have to get the gearbox parts from a Toyota dealer and there is no better place than Kingo. Pm him with your chassis no and he will sort you out. There was a list but Kingo said some of the numbers are modified so drop him a line. He can probably do you a good price on the belt at the same time.

Parts King offers a Buy-one-Get-One-Free service so if the two of you get together, you could half the cost

Thankfully I don't yet have the problem....but expect some as we keep turning the boost up!! The Greddy e-manage system when fitted should give the gearbox something to think about.

lol!!! I have just PMd you!!!! guess I know the answer to that then!!!!! Will still be in touch next week to order my parts - I cannot wait to be able to drive my Rav in 5th and enjoy it properly!!!!!!

Then I can address the issue of a new stereo, a spare tyre cover, some new covers on my wheels etc etc, and really tart my baby up!!!!!!!!

Don't let the pie-eater off with the offer . you are obviously going to become his main (only?) customer over the next 3 months so bargain with him - he only expects that and doesn't like to sell things at any less than 50% off !!!

Sweet talk might do it but I hear pies are more effective
