Hi,
The A/C is not working on my 2003 Landcruiser. The light has been blinking for a while now and now that the 'warm' weather is coming it is noticeable the air is not cool anymore. After some research it seems the relay could be playing up, relay is 90987-02022.

In the relay box there are 4 or 5 of these, anyone know which relay is used for the A/C. Unfortunately there isn't a relay diagram on the vehicle anywhere. If I found out which is which I could swap them around to see if it is indeed the relay that is the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I wonder if it is the same problem I have? See my post about losing my cool. A relay you say? How much is this, is it something I can do?

Very simple to do - if that is the problem, see these links

Do you just mean coolant?, if so then that is not the problem as I've plenty of that.

no the system uses refrigerant, like the stuff used in fridges and freezers, R-134a its used as a heat transfer agent in the air con system, this could be low and the system needs regassing

How do you check for this, or is it more of a dealer job? I'll try changing around the relays first and see if that cures it, if not then a trip to dealer unfortunately.

Thanks alot.

dealer can do it or any air con specialist, but try the relay first it could be that, had the same problem on an old Supra, they sorted it by regassing the air con system Good luck lets us know how you get on
Lady Cruiser
I had the same problem last year.
I had it re-gassed and its now as good as new!!!
