Hi all

A newbie as far as Toyotas go - been welded to Landrovers since I was knee high and still driving a RR classic as everday transport. Have just taken delivery of a very tidy 95 Hiace 4wd camper and am well impressed by the build quality and especially the condition, given that its already 14 yr old.

Christened the truck with a 550mile trip over the Easter break, in and around the West Coast of Ireland. No complaints other than the mpg, which at around 22 -25 is well short of any of my Landrovers, but I was expecting this. Struggled a bit with the auto box, which brings me to my question - whats the red button on the console ahead of the shift lever for? My manual is all in Japanese so I'll have to appeal to the cognoscenti of the club for help!

Regards to all
Andy
It's so that you can move the shifter when the key is not in the ignition.
