I need to carry additional diesel ( I have a 2003 LC4 D4D Land Cruiser ) for trip where fuel is difficult to find.
I do not want to have fuel inside ths car
Any suggestions, other than extra fitted tank or roof rack mounted jerry can as these options are not possible.

If it cant be carried in the car and it cant be carried on the roof or an extra tank, then I would suggest your options are a tad limited wacko.gif

What other options could there possibly be? Jerry cans in a trailer? not sure how much fuel you could legally carry in a trailer, I'm sure there are limitations

The only way is what Kingo suggested and that is to carry it in a trailer yes.gif

The Prado 120 (same model as yours) sold in Australia, has an additional 93l tank (I think as standard), taking the total fuel capacity to 180l - this is bolted up underneath the car, and has to be the safest way - the fuel is stored low down so making everything more stable.

I think its a reasonably easy fit. I'm sure I saw an importer - can't remember who.

If you wanted to keep the cost down, have a look round a scrapyard for something which can be strapped up to the chassis rails at the back - perhaps one from a transit - they tend to be square and flat.
