Got into my Carine E this morning and the damn thing wouldn't start. It's been making the odd noise on starting for a few days now but after that went like a bomb as usual.

Have to admit, I'm not very good at checking oil etc so could it be that or Aargh....the starter motor?

Any ideas?

Can you tell us more about the noise you're getting?
Does the engine turn over ?

No it doesn't get as far as that. I turn the key and every light comes on and there's a ....well the closest word I can think of is .....screeching sound.

Normally I turn the key cum rain or snow and she purrs but recently it's been hesitating.

sounds like starter motor...

could be jammed. try rocking the car back and forward.
