  1. So the gearbox oil filter doesn't need replacing when you change the oil then as it isn't deemed a serviceable part?
  2. Hi My father inlaw has a 2012 Landcruiser with the 3 litre engine and we want to do an oil change on the gearbox. We've tried to source an oil filter for the gearbox but we are getting some bonkers prices from Toyota (£130+VAT!!). Does anyone know how much the oil filter for the gearbox should be and are there any after market suppliers? Thanks in advance. Simon
  3. Anyone?
  4. Get the clutch done at the same time it's worth it.
  5. Hi Chaps and Chapesses My Rav4 2 button key circa 2007 has seen better days the rubber is splitting and I need to replace the key body. Now I know theres loads of two button covers on ebay but none seem to be an exact match to mine. Mine has the two buttons beneath one rubber cover the size of the key body not two individual separate buttons. Anyone know where I can get an exact match so I can just swap the electronics and metal key over? (An don't say Toyota!)
  6. My 2 button key body housing the buttons and battery has seen better days so I want to replace it. But all the ones on flea bay seem to have a physical two buttons format. Mine has a sort of rubber cover the width and length of the key body. Anyone know if you can get these and where from?
  7. Oh balls back to the scrappy again for me then, thanks for feedback.
  8. Anyideas
  9. I need a new rear passenger door after it was modified by a fence post. I found a T180 door in the right colour but it has the plastic arch trim. Before I buy it I need to know how the arch trim is attached and when removed does it leave a mark or holes?
  10. Does anyone know how the T180 rear door arch trim is attached? Is it glued? Can it be removed without leaving a mark?
  11. Are the headlight bulbs different in the US model? Reason I ask is I used the autobulbs direct bulb checker and it has recommended an HB4 bulb but this is obviously wrong.
  12. My old xt4 box before it blew up never had this issue my current T180 box does however. I think there was a gear linkage update but cant find the thread.
  13. A few months back my gear box exploded on our xt4 and I was forced to source another box at an eye watering amount. The box was from a T180 with a gen 35,000 miles on it but the gear changes have never been smooth. I remember reading somewhere that theres an updated gear linkage part that was an update that might cure this. Anyone know the part number?
  14. I live north of Newcastle and have had no issues in snow in our 4.3 2.2 xt4. I always press lock before pulling away in snow never ever had an issue. Also tried getting stuck in a few very muddy fields (one time mud upto middle of wheels with an LC on standby to help) on purpose an didnt get stuck. Same approach as snow as top gun said "lock on".
  15. This was useful today as reference thanks. Spent a good 10 mins smashing hell out of the front disc to get the !Removed! things off. Also changed the rear discs and shocks. Top nuts on those shocks are a pain in butt too.
