hi..

i have a toyota echo verso with 1nz-fe engine and the engine have big problem

1) engine sometime stall when try to accelerate from stop

(i have already clean the air flow meter, the idle control valve, change fuel filter, spark plug..etc)

2) this is the biggest problem

after drive the car on highway around 10-20 mins...when i try to brake....sometimes the brake pedal very hard and no brake(like loss vacuum).....the rpm sitting at 2000-2600rpm even i m in neutral gear....hear missfire from exhaust...

(i try to find out any vacuum line leak around the engine bay, i cant find any leak)

3) do the solenoid (which beside the air box, connected from the charcoal tank and intake manifold) have continually clicking sound when hot ? is this normal?

thx

jz my 5 cents...

ur car ever knock on something? accident maybe? or did u ever let ur fuel tank very low? try checking ur distributor and fuel pump...

as for the braking problem, try checking the brake line, maybe theres a leak...u can see this jz by looking at ur rims- if u can see oil leak on it...

i dont know much but i had a problem of missfire from the exhaust......like driving on highway and accelerating wud give missfire........the problem was of a crankshaft position sensor ....it was loose so just cleaned n tightened it n works perfect.
