Auto Windows Up/sunroof Close With Alarm Fob

Hi all as the title says is there any way of enabling this feature on a 2005 Rav4. What it is basically is when you press the arm button on the alarm fob, the windows and sunroof close, (total enclousure). Is this possible on the Rav, is there a combination or opening door and flicking light switch on and off type of procedure for this?

I have enabled this on many VAG group cars, but this involved writing new code to the CCM module, via ODBII and software. I presume this feature will be inbuilt into the Rav somewhere, but its how to access it..

Has ayone any ideas?

To my knowledge there is no dormant onboard ecu capable of programing to do it. I think the only way would be if one of these car alarm specialists have access to a seperate module. You can't even do it on the 4.3s regardless of the mass of electronics they carry.

One of the electronics wizz's might be able to whittle something but you will have to wait for an shcm type guru.

Hmmmmmm! No takers on this topic? I`m sure a vehicle of this spec and range will have this facility, I find it hard to belive it has`nt. Has anyone got this feature on their Rav`s, be it 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3?

I have read on this forum somewhere and I can`t find the post now, that in the Toyota Diagnostic ODBII scanner, If you go into body then I think they said accessories, there are lots of options that can be changed, they also said a lot of Toyota mechanics will not know about this as Mr T at HQ does not what them to know????

Are there any Toyota mechanics out there that would be able to clarify this? If it is true what are all the changable options as the guy in the post said there were lots. :)

Lo there....

the Viper alarm I have on me Rav would do it... you'd have to get the extras built on but I know it's possible on the system I have. You can also get remote start so that you can warm up the Rav on the cold winter mornings and get the windows to defrost... But I aint got those options, just got the basic viper kit with perimetric alarm...

Hope that helps...

regards

An after market alarm would be one way to go, but i`m just trying to find out if this feature is already built in somewhere. Do you know if any other Toyota models or Lexus for that matter has this option.

Its pretty standard now on most newer vehicles, so I can`t see toyota not having this?

Like I say people have been doing this on Vw`s by changing code in the CCM module, but before this was known, you had fit an after market module to enable this function. There are lots of settings you can change through ODBII on Vw`s.

I`m hoping there is some sort of procedure like the "auto door lock with ignition". that will enable this.

Have you considered one of these?

That module is a possibility, but i`d still like to find out if there are any hidden jems inside the toyota electronics. :euro: I like to keep things OEM if possible.
