I've used them as 215/50/17 on a T4 diesel hatch. Pretty long lasting, but as far as road noise goes, I'm not sure how much difference you'll notice. I think the road noise is just bad nomatter the tyre type. Nice tread pattern on them though...

Came in the top 3 tyres to my knowledge in the 205/55/16 tyre size in a recent Which - Magazine tyre test. Have been around for a while, may be an update to the old P6 tyre.

PS: Cannot help with road noise, but very good wet/dry road holding capabilities.
