Celica Alarm Help

I have recently purchased a st182 Celica, with factory fitted alarm.

The key fob Battery was replaced prior to me buying the car and so now the alarm doesn't respond.

Toyota have said it needs to go into the workshop for them to fix, but I am sure the must be a way to manually reset the code. i.e. remove the power, reconnect the power, press the key fob for 5 seconds......

Does anyone know, as I have no alarm, and the earliest Toyota can look at it is 18 days away???? :ffs:

Unfortunately the dealer is correct. If your Battery dies you have a set time limit to replace the Battery before the constantly updating code is no longer accepted from your fob. :(

What the dealer will need to do it read off the code from your alarm and match your fob to it.

Theres another way on some of em, got it from a Toyota trained mechanic, it worked on mine and quite easy too  But don't wanna put it on a public forum and be responsible for the loss of god knows how many cars
