Central Locking Fault

Wife's 2003 Yaris has a fault with the central locking. (The model doesn't have remote locking.)

When using the key in the passenger door it works fine locking and unlocking both doors and boot. However when the key is used in the driver's door it only unlocks the the driver's door. Been faulty for couple of months now but just about to sell the car and want to leave it right for the new owner.

Can any of you give me a rough idea what part is gone and if you've had this fixed what price to expect?
