Colour Coding Bumpers

Guys,

I currently have the part black, part coloured bumper on the early yaris (G.S. 2000 model)

Its all in good nick, but was wondering........on the higher spec model GLS and CDX, are the same bumpers used as the other lower spec models and the black plastic part painted the same as the rest of the car or is the whole bumper made of a different material and then sprayed.

What i mean is can i spray the black part of the bumper the same as the rest of the car or is it always likey to look that its been sprayed in separately.

Any thoughts please.

Hi,

Of course you can, or more precisely, a good body shop can. ;)

They know how to surface prepare the part and spray it in the exact matching color.

Not cheap, but if done properly, you won't see the difference.

Is this exactly what they have done at the factory on the higher spec models (painted over the black section) or do you think that the bumper is different.

Not sure.

My guess is, the bumpers are different.
