Key Fob Not Locking/unlocking

Rav4 55 plate xtr 2.0 vvti.

Battery died on my key fob, went to use spare and it wouldn't lock/unlock car. Replaced Battery in mine after finding one now this one works ok.

Problem is the 'spare' still not locking/unlocking car even after new Battery in this one. It does however start the car no problems, so is registered to vehicle ok.

What I would like to know is how can I reprogram the keyfob to lock/unlock too??

Try resync by pressing and holding both buttons until the indicators answer back (can take quite a long time 10-15 secs).

Didn't work, held both buttons until keyfob light stopped flashing, which is approx 15 seconds.

Btw this fob has worked in the past and is from Yota dealer, came with the car

No sorry. Was by the car, indicators did not respond at all. I was referring to the tiny led on the fob. It flashed 17 times which was around 15 seconds.

Will try again standing by different areas of car

No sorry. Was by the car, indicators did not respond at all. I was referring to the tiny led on the fob. It flashed 17 times which was around 15 seconds.
