My 2006 Avensis (manufactured in UK) started illuminating ABS, TRC and VSC lights simultaneously on the panel. Dealer checked it and told me that the yaw rate sensor (Bosch 0265005273) is broken. Questions are:

1. I have removed the part myself. Is there a cheap replacement I can find and install? (Toyota dealer requests ca. 800 EUR for the original).

2. Why should this part be broken? It looks like a 100% electronic device. Can it be broken due to mechanical stress in the car?
