Ot: Not A Good Day.............

Completely OT but there is nothing like a smirk at another's bad day to cheer us up so try this:

7am this morning: Breakfast on crunchy crusted still warm freshly baked granary bread and home made jam - very nice. A bit of whole grain goes where it shouldn't and a tooth explodes leaving the bread crunchier than it should be and a mouth full of exposed nerve. Air turns blue. :censor: :hammer:

8am. Phone dentist and grovel, plead and thoroughly debase myself for an emergency appointment. :help2: Very very nice lady at the dentist takes pity on me: 4pm appointment this afternoon. Question: why can we never stop teasing at that exposed nerve and jagged stump with our tongue?

10am at the office: Without thinking, attempt to drink hot coffee. Not a good idea. More pathetic whimpering. :crybaby:

1pm. Lunch. Luke warm soup in the office microwave and more clutching of jaw and whimpering.

4pm at last. Arrive at dentist :doctor: . Relief in sight. It is gonna hurt but thoughts turn to being able to chew again :eat: . Meat for tea, steak even, crispy chips  - oh joy.

:ermm: Erm.....empty car park, empty waiting room. :jawdrop: What is going on? :fireman::fireman2: The flippin place had caught fire and been evacuated (did they call out "this is not a drill" perhaps? Geddit?) So poached eggs on toast without the toast for tea, I still have toothache but, hey, there is always someone worse off than you  and what better excuse for getting out that bottle of malt for a tot. Medicinal purposes, dear, medicinal purposes...........

only copious amounts of 57 proof will numb the brain sufficiently to confuse it to where the pain is coming from!

Saying that, I'm off today to get told that the severe cramp in my right knee is advanced arthritis following 2 years of doing the 1/4 mile! Guess the car may have to be modified again!! Right hand hand only so to speak cos the left arm is kaput as well!! (Gear changing) They don't warn you about all that when you buy a RAV

Funny you should say that. A bottle of the latest cask strength L*******G arrived earlier in the week.

Good luck with knees and elbows. Just be thankful that RAV seats are comfortable so the p*l*s will be OK
