I drove the mk2 version a couple of years ago, very nice it was too!

TBH I did place a post on the above forum asking the usual type questions, but 'no answer' came the reply!.. :lol:

We're thinking about changing our 2001 Rav to a later one, but noticed that for similar-ish money we could get a RX300, Ok it'll not be great on fuel but it's a hell of a lot of car (and kit) for the money.... just wondered about common faults and if they're as reliable/well built as their little brother...

a few years ago,a friend of mine bought a Harrier - which is the Japanese model name for the RX and it looked really well appointed at a bargain price. 

I think the imports also have a wider range of engines as well and I doubt you would be disappointed in a UK or Import model.
