Turbo Problem?

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if this has already been discussed.

I've got a 2004 Avensis 2.0 D4D., which i'v had for about 3 and half years. When i got the car there was nothing wrong and everything was working fine, recently, i've noticed a hissing sound when then turbo is working, and it sound like leeking air. It only come on when the Turbo is on, but i've not noticed any difference in the performance.

Any ideas what it could be?

Split pipe/hose ?

The Turbo does make a hissing sound itself when its fully spooled up normally about 2500rpm. If it sounds different could be split hoses.

Thanks for the Heads up, will check it out and let you guys know.

Don't know if your model has an intercooler (like a radiator to cool the air between the turbo and inlet manifold) but it could also be a leak from there.
