Screeching Noise Coming From Wheel

I have a 1999 GS avensis. Recently a loud screeching has started to develope from the passenger front wheel. The noise stops when the brakes are applied. Is this the wheel bearings? and if so would anyone have any idea of the price to repair it?

Sounds more like worn or stuck brake pads or stuck brake cylinder.

Bearings don't normally screech, but announce their end of life by "rumbling" noises that get worse over time.

I would have a look at the brakes first.
