Hi, I'm completely new here. I'm from Iceland so my english isn't very good but I'm always learning more

So, to my problem, the warning light for the power steering (p/s) went on. I went to the Toyota garage here in Iceland and they told me after reading from the cpu that the computer for the power steering is malfunctioning and that I need a new one. Is the cpu for the power steering the same as the ecu? If so, where is it located in the 2007 Aygo?

This is very expensive here in Iceland and I was hoping to be able to replace the cpu myself instead of paying the garage to do it.

Sadest thing is, the warranty from the dealership ran out 3 months ago.

Hoping to get some answers, my google skills suck

I would say the CPU is just another name for the ECU. You could get the guy in the parts department at the Toyota dealer to print you off a blown apart diagram of this from their electronic parts catalog -it will show Part number and location.

The power steering ECU is in the left hand side kick panel by the drivers feet (on a left hand drive car)

The price was 70.000isk which is around 400gbp and snother 25.000isk to replace it or 140gbp. I think its to much, is it?

Hiya i have aygo 07 plate and my p/s lightstays on and no power steering and somtimes if i start driving it goes of, it stayed on for 4 days with no power steering then it was ok again for a week someone checked it for me and said it was coming up as power failure can tou help me please 😊🚙
