Hi Bandit,

I have a 2.2 Auris D4D which has displayed your symptoms for a while now, it never fails to start but it just chugs and chugs before it does.

Toyota have had my car for more than 2 weeks in an attempt to solve it back in March this year, in doing so they have changed my Battery and EGR solenoid/valve but all to no avail.

I have done the DIY EGR clean since but this does not help this issue.

There are other variables such as injectors and starter motors that could be at fault, but at the moment i am just keeping my fingers crossed... which is not ideal.

hi mate

-at what outside temperature you were trying to start?

-where do you normally get diesel?

-whether both SCVs are in order?

-what bout fuel injectors?

cheers/Igor
