if they are reading this then they should get better sales and customer supprt staff. They messed with the wrong bloke

and they still never fixed the problem!

Engineer tried to install an alarm in the dark.. messing up all the electrics, power windows and the trim was not put back properly... what a lousey set up!

promise of an engineer which never turned up.

GAP is a swear word here!

yup same here -

im never gonna use or recomend them after what they did to my mates Pug 306.

Pug recon another month or so to repair the damage to the car.

a mate had a Clifford Aventguard installed with all the toys on a pug 306

basic rundown for those not in gold

1) the remote window part never worked

2) the installer ripped apart the keys to take out the standard Pug immobiliser & never got them back together.

3) after a month the car wouldnt start & that was afler the alarm was turned off - turned out the guy opened the ECU, soldered a cable inside & left the ECU open to the elements.

water got into the ECU & fried it.

4) the installer also nicked 40 quid from the ashtray when he installed the alarm.

Hi ppl, I have a Gap Clifford Concept 300 with total closure, it cost £475 in total.

A few months back the drivers window wouldnt close so I called and an engineer came and fixed the problem which was a trapped wire that he had put in, in the first place. :ffs:

I have to say that it was alot of money for what it is and I would never never recommend them.

exactly what I thought.

But could not do any thing about it. So I went ahead. A silly thing to say but they have very good salesmen they made me feel guilty if I did not go ahead with it and what if i had the car stolen. How would I feel about it. Almost had me in tears. :ffs:

I should have talked to TOC first before I went ahead.

I paid my deposit over the phone, I never signed a contract I tried to cancel over the phone they said no a few days later , I spoke to the so called area manager tried to get my money back but no luck. I know better next time.

Could of gone to Trading Standards. But never bothered.

You live and learn.

they cannot take your money if they have not done anything to your car.. i would have disputed that with the credit card company.

The deposit is for the engineer that if he turns up and you change your mind that he has been paid.

But you cancelled beforehand, no one was put out so why keep the money?

How long ago was this mate?

ouch !!

A local company charges £360 for Clifford 300, fully fitted and they are reliable.

I will be staying away from GAP bunch of :arrgg-matey: by the sounds of it.
