Upgrade You Alloys To “17” For Free

Hi, I recently purchased Avensis 03 reg with 215/45/17 wheels. I happily will exchange them to 16 alloys with legal tyres as bumpy ride and tyre roar is not something I enjoy, while sporty looks is not what this car is about for me. There are two nearly new budget tires, one half worn and one nearly finished. One alloy has been recently refurbished and others are kerbed. If you interested please let me know I might even get them washed and sent you some pictures. I am in Surrey New Malden area. Thanks

I am afraid deal has expired as I brought wheels from scrappy. On improvement: ride quality over bumps and potholes so much better it was worth changing just for that. On noise front it is not so good, while much improved up to 50-60MPH at 70 MPH still rubbish. Next on agenda couple meters of acoustic carpet in the boot to sort out what lazy Toyota engineers should have done.

As I recall, the 03 avensis was criticised for its road noise when first released.

If my memory serves me right, there was a fix with some modified bushings.

Talk to your dealer if he can help you.

As for the sound insulation in the boot, I've seen some tests made, and it's

almost a complete waste of money, if not done when the car was manufactured.
