Audio System Error

I have for the 2nd time experienced a failure with my audio system which is failing to play cds & displaying the error ''Check CD'' even if I try playing a different cd. I have had this error before and it was fixed for approx £235 after Toyota declined to accept responsibility under warranty on the basis of a rather inconclusive diagnosis by some Toyota dealer over the cause of this. I have a sat nav/ audio intergrated system & all except the cd player is in perfect functional order.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem and if so how has this been resolved?
