Cold Mornings

Purchased a June 2009 Yaris 1.4 D4D SR a few months ago, and found that around Christmas time when it was -6 in the morning, it would struggle to fire up (catch)after the glow plug light goes out. Can a Toyota mechanic test the glow plugs to see if they do reach the correct temp?.

Many diesel engines struggled in the cold temps we had. We had a lot of problems up here as some of the diesel fuel froze/waxed up the filter.

How is it starting in the warmer temps just now? And what fuel do you use - ie where do you buy it from?
