When I put our post code in it returned the correct town and county with a message: "Sorry, we couldn't find a policing area that matched your search".

Up My Street has this type of information as well as other sweeping generalisations like the social/economic group of your neighbourhood. Whilst this information maybe OK for insurance companies to make up premiums with it doesn't really tell you what your immediate neighbours will be like or how prone to crime your house is.

As i suspected, i don't have a police force in my area, so that means there must be no crime, so i will inform my insurance company and ask for a partial refund on my premiums.
